I realize improving their mood to keep this from happening helps, but all of them are at such a level that nothing I do could reasonably prevent this. Therefore, I propose only sending the lonsword people, as they're most likely to hack off a leg. If you beat them down, they will just be upset at being in pain and go berserk again. I just captured a shit-ton of prisoners, over 40 from a base, and at least 60% of them have already done this, leading to five of them being killed outright. But when someone is going berserk, you really just need them to sit down and not get up for a while. Kill their cellmates or tear down doors and necessitate me drafting my pawns to beat the shit out of them to put an end to their tantrum. There appears to be a slight bug, prisoners who are berserk are considered guilty and if killed shouldn't result in any mood penalty, but the guilty status lasts 0 seconds and if they die the berserk state and the guilty status ends before the game determines the mood penalty apparently, which results in your colonists getting a mood penalty for.
