![]() ![]() I remember one was Grimlock (in his intelligent but can't speak properly mode), and at the end Optimus was rebuilt and resurrected all the Autobots. I don't recall the exact issue, but it was the last one of an old series, where only four Autobots had survived. When Unicron awoke, Prime reformed and recovered the Matrix from Thunderwing, then opened it and destroyed both himself and Unicron. Prime transferred it to Buster Witwicky to prevent it from falling into Decepticon hands. Sometime before arriving on Earth, it was given to Optimus Prime. Just did some research on the Matrix within the comics: The Matrix was originally held by Primus, the creator of the Autobots. Man, now I really wish my mother hadn't thrown out my old comics. I seem to remember from the old comic series that the creator of the Transformers actually built Optimus himself. ![]()
